I am thinking about traveling with my dog. Any funny or strange stories about traveling with your pup? I could use a good laugh!
i remember when my mom my sister and me took our 3 dogs a rottweiler a los-opso and a mix that we got for free from people that rescue them from the west indies. well i was sitting in back with my rottweiler (her name is angel) and she was drooling soooo much. i was wiping off her drool with a bunch of napkins that we had in the car. well my sister was sitting in the seat on the other side and she opened the window and some of my rottweilers slobber came flying over to me and went into my mouth. it was pretty disgusting. i thought i was going to be sick and my sister and my mom were laughing at me the whole ride to the vet.

Aww..I love takin’ the pooches with when I go somewhere. My chihuahua, Rinky, likes to scavange the car floor looking for crumbs to eat, and my rottweiler, Dozer, likes to try to lay in my lap while I’m driving, which doesnt work out to good. Hope you have fun!! Good luck!

Not a story about traveling but we got a sweet puppy and named him Arrow. We kept him in the laundry room at night, one morning when I got up, he was crying to get out and he was saying, "arrow, arrow, arrow." I told my husband but, he didn’t believe me until he heard it the next morning.

Hmmmm…We brought my 100+ pound ‘puppy’ 1800 miles to visit my parents a few years ago. He’s been to 11 states + Canada, stayed in motels and hotels, ridden in elevators…
Anyway…We did not have advance reservations anywhere along the way, so we would just call ahead when we decided where to stop for the night and asked about the motel/hotel pet policy. At one stop (Columbus, Ohio I think), we found a hotel that accepted dogs that wasn’t too expensive so we made the reservation for that night. When we got there, there was some kind of formal reception going on in the lobby of the hotel. So all of these people were walking around in black ties and formal gowns…and there we were all travel weary with this big, over-excited dog! It was a bit embarrassing!!
Have fun with your pup!!

For Labor Day week we went to Colorado to our cabin, well we decide to take our dog this year so we take him well we were almost there and there is a 2 way stop a mile before we get there well it was a hot day and we had all the windows down because we were almost there, anyways our puppy sees a raccoon on the side of the road trying to cross so what my dog did is he jumped on the window and starts chasing the raccoon so we had to pull to the side to try to get him back in the truck. It took a while but finally we were on our way. He never caught the raccoon.
Hope you liked it. Good Luck on your trip.
